Pastor John Dunkin
Senior Pastor
Pastor John Dunkin and his wife, Kim, joined us in April 2019. John and Kim have five children, a son-in-law and grandson. They love being involved in their kids’ lives, having a grandson, and doing ministry together. John’s passion is preaching the Word and discipleship. He received his education from both Moody Bible Institute and The Master’s Seminary.
Pastor Mike Boyle
Executive Ministry Pastor
Mike joined the staff of Elgin EFC in June 2022. Mike and Mel have five adult married children and eight grandchildren. He has been an Interim Pastor after serving on the faculty of Moody Bible Institute. He has a passion to preach the Word and equipping next-generation leaders for the church. He graduated from the University of North Dakota, Dallas Theological Seminary, and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Mike enjoys road trips, reading, time with his kids and grandchildren, and watching the finals of most sporting events.
Jon Cox
Worship Leader
Jon Cox grew up in a Christian family and although he grew up with parents that loved God, and taught him to follow him, he secretly rejected God. This led him into a dark season of life where he struggled with depression, self-harm, and suicidal thinking.
That is when he called upon the Lord at 13 years old, and was set free in Christ! Serving in the worship ministry of his youth group, club, and church, he felt the call to ministry and attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. After graduating with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies in 2014, Jon joined Decision Point and is serving full-time as the Illinois and Midwest Director since 2015. Jon is married to Kassandra and has two sons Judah and Ezekiel.

Melissa Lyle
KidsLife Coordinator
Melissa joined the EEFC staff in August of 2019. She is currently the Office Coordinator. She enjoys communicating with all the church ministries and connecting with the church body. Melissa and her husband Ryan are raising their two tween boys. They keep busy with family, church, and enjoy being outdoors whenever possible.
Jeffrey Lyle
Custodian
I grew up in a Christ-centered family and have been attending church every Sunday my whole life. I joined the church staff as a custodian in 2022, and I am glad to be serving God and the church body. I am also a custodian for a high school in Sycamore Il. I enjoy disk golfing, pickle ball, and just being active in whatever way I can.
