This holiday season, we’re inviting our church family to live out the words of Jesus in Acts 1:8:
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the remotest part of the earth.”
At EEFC, we're creating three specific opportunities for you to be Christ’s hands and feet—starting right here at home and reaching all the way across the globe. Here's how you can take part:
Local & Immediate Need
Just as Jerusalem was home for the early Church, our “Jerusalem” represents needs within our own church family. By giving to our Benevolence Fund, you help meet urgent needs like food, rent, or utility assistance for individuals and families within our congregation who are going through difficult times. This is a practical, tangible way to love our neighbors and support the body of Christ. Simply click here to give, and select "BENEVOLENCE" from the dropdown menu.
Community Outreach
Our surrounding community—our “Judea and Samaria”—is also in need of hope and practical help. Join us in supporting the Vineyard Breakfast Ministry & Street Reach by donating non-perishable food items to the homeless in the Elgin community. It’s a simple but powerful way to extend God’s love beyond our church walls. View the full list of items needed, and drop off your donations in the church foyer November 2nd - 30th.
Global Impact
When Jesus spoke of the “ends of the earth,” He had in mind every tribe, tongue, and nation. Operation Christmas Child gives us the chance to reach children around the world with the joy of a Christmas gift and, more importantly, the Good News of Jesus Christ. Pack a shoebox and share God’s love with a child who may be hearing about Jesus for the very first time. Learn more and start preparing your gift today. Collection begins November 17th.
Three Ways. One Mission. His Witnesses.
We encourage every member of our church family to prayerfully consider how you can participate in each of these giving opportunities. Let’s be bold witnesses of Christ this season—starting in our “Jerusalem,” moving through our "Judea and Samaria," and reaching to “the ends of the earth.”
